While the whole street is a market it is south of this that the real street market begins, at first with shops that have extended onto the street, and later more market stall style though still associated with the shops.

Fresh fruit, roast chickens from a butchers, artisianal bakeries and a mix such as Indian and Mexican cuisines are common. There is no shortage of Fromager and other more traditional french delights, mixed with shops selling souvineers and luggage for the many tourists who visit our street.

It is at the lower end of rue Mouffetard that the semi-permeanent open market runs every day.
